This role will primarily focus on enterprise application platforms including ERP , Finance, HR, and integrated business systems, with a particular emphasis on SAP and other mission-critical enterprise technologies that support scalable growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This leader will play a key role in the design and execution of enterprise application strategy, including major platform transformations and particular focus on SAP implementation. As a senior member of the technical leadership team, the Senior Director will partner closely with business leaders and technology stakeholders to ensure enterprise systems effectively support complex business processes within a highly regulated medical device environment. The role requires deep experience delivering enterprise application solutions in regulated industries such as medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly complex environments where quality systems, compliance requirements, and operational traceability are critical.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, business systems, or IT leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise application organizations and large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Deep experience with enterprise business applications including ERP , Finance, and HR systems.
  • Hands-on experience participating in or leading SAP implementations as part of the technical leadership or architecture team.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, integration strategies, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working within medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FDA, SOX, HIPAA, or similar compliance requirements.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Applications Strategy & Roadmap Define and lead the long-term strategy and roadmap for enterprise applications (SAP) aligned with corporate growth objectives and operational priorities. Ensure enterprise platforms including ERP, Finance, HR, and integrated operational systems enable scalable, compliant, and efficient business operations. Drive modernization and continuous improvement of the enterprise applications landscape.
  • SAP Architecture & Implementation Leadership Serve as a senior technical leader and architect for enterprise applications, with particular focus on SAP implementations and optimization. Lead or partner in major ERP transformation initiatives including implementation, upgrades, and platform expansion. Ensure enterprise application architecture supports integration, data integrity, and end-to-end business process enablement.
  • Applications Delivery & Operating Model Oversee the delivery model for enterprise applications, including intake, prioritization, development, and lifecycle management. Build and lead a high-performing organization of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) and application specialists. Ensure strong governance, clear decision frameworks, and alignment across IT and business stakeholders.
  • Business Partnership & Process Enablement Partner closely with Finance, Operations, HR, and Commercial leaders to translate complex business requirements into scalable application solutions. Champion end-to-end business process optimization across enterprise systems. Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on technology investments and platform capabilities.
  • Regulated Environment & Compliance Ensure enterprise applications support compliance with regulatory and quality requirements common in medical device and healthcare environments. Support systems and processes aligned with FDA regulations, SOX controls, and data integrity standards. Embed compliance, traceability, and quality principles into application design and operations.
  • Vendor & Transformation Leadership Manage relationships with system integrators, SAP partners, and enterprise application vendors. Lead contract negotiations, delivery oversight, and performance management for strategic partners. Ensure enterprise initiatives deliver measurable business value and operational improvements.
