About The Position

At Capital One, the Marketing, Messaging, and Personalization team is transforming enterprise marketing technology and operations to fuel growth. This role serves as a primary thought partner to the MVP of Product and Operations, spanning critical platforms and the marketing operations organization. It offers an opportunity to navigate a matrixed organization, solve high-stakes enterprise problems, and grow in business strategy and product leadership. The role will develop and drive the transformation of key enterprise marketing product capabilities, optimize operational efficiency, and define the future role of the marketer at Capital One, leveraging AI and managing billions of customer touchpoints monthly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 5 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience performing people management
  • At least 3 years of experience performing project management
  • The ability to move seamlessly between 30,000-foot strategy and deep-dive analytical problem-solving.
  • Expertise in navigating a matrixed organization and driving consensus among diverse executive stakeholders without direct authority.
  • A "challenger" mindset that isn't afraid to question the status quo to find more efficient paths toward a modern enterprise state.
  • A proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving based on rigorous quantitative orientation and risk management.
  • Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: They should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business
  • Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals.
  • Able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
  • Successful track record in top-tier strategy consulting or a high-growth corporate strategy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Defining the long-term and tactical roadmap for the enterprise product ecosystem, ensuring alignment with P&L goals and customer-facing excellence.
  • Driving operational transformation and defining the marketer experience and role across the company.
  • Leading cross-functional workstreams that bridge Product, Tech, and Business units to drive operational efficiency and ensure high-stakes initiatives stay on track.
  • Identifying opportunities for structural transformation and designing the "rhythm of the business" to drive alignment across the senior leadership team.
  • Develop enterprise strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success in the face of shifting market and regulatory demands.
  • Implement new product strategies and enterprise-wide capabilities; lead P&L-focused data modeling and analytics.
  • Develop and partner broadly across functions, including Brand, LOB, and marketing operations to define future operating model and organizational impacts of strategy.
  • Manage and sequence delivery of business intent and execute against the transformation strategy.
  • Oversee complex programs concurrently.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
