As a senior digital product manager, you will play a critical role in launching and scaling Starbucks next-generation proprietary POS (point of sale) system across our North America coffeehouses. This role sits at the intersection of customer experience, in-store operations, and technical platform transformation, requiring both hands-on execution excellence and long-term strategic leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in digital product management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions
  • Curious, highly motivated self-starter with a growth mindset
  • Experience with experimentation, customer research, and A/B testing
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems, retail technology, or in-store operational platforms
  • Proven track record leading large-scale system rollouts or platform transformations

Responsibilities

  • Drive the vision and strategy for POS – Define and evolve the long-term strategy for Starbucks’ POS platform, connecting decisions to clear customer and business outcomes in partnership with the Group Product Manager, Coffeehouse Ordering
  • Translate priorities into impact – Build and maintain a focused, outcome-driven roadmap, making principled trade-offs to maximize business and customer value
  • Ensure ecosystem alignment – Partner across teams to align POS strategy with digital ordering, payments, and broader coffeehouse experience platforms
  • Lead launch and scale execution – Oversee end-to-end delivery of the POS system from pilot through enterprise rollout, using data to iterate and improve outcomes
  • Support and grow others – Mentor product managers and contribute to team effectiveness, capability building, and a strong product discipline
