About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Digital Design Verification Engineer to verify the design and implementation of SerDes IPs. This technology supports gaming, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and autonomous driving, and the IPs are intended for standard and proprietary high-speed protocols. The engineer will verify digital designs, golden models, and microarchitecture using advanced methodologies such as UVM. The role includes developing reusable verification components and infrastructure, defining verification scope, implementing test plans, and thoroughly verifying designs within product-focused schedules. The engineer will collaborate with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of validated experience.
  • Background in verification at Unit, Sub-system, or SoC level.
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog.
  • Experience using random stimulus with functional coverage and assertion-based verification methodologies.
  • Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM or VMM.
  • Exposure to industry-standard verification tools for simulation and debug.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in bus or interconnect protocols such as PCI Express, USB, or SATA.
  • Experience verifying complex SerDes systems, understanding mixed-signal designs, and modeling analog circuits.
  • Experience with Perl, Python, or C/C++ programming languages.
  • Good debugging and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a teammate.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the digital design, golden models, and microarchitecture of SerDes IPs using methodologies such as UVM.
  • Build reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards using coverage-driven verification methodology.
  • Understand design and implementation, define verification scope, develop verification infrastructure, and verify design correctness.
  • Write and implement test plans and thoroughly verify designs within product-shipment-focused schedules.
  • Work with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification teams.
