About the position
Blink Health is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Ops & Automation professional to lead the improvement of the developer experience through the use of modern technologies and open source tooling. The ideal candidate will have a security-focused approach, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while continuously improving them. Collaboration with various teams, including engineers, product, design, IT, and security, is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, the candidate should possess a drive to enhance existing systems and processes, as well as the ability to support teams 24/7. Database experience and familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, are desired qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Leading the charge on improving the developer experience through the use of modern technologies and innovative uses of open source tooling
- Ensuring a security-focused approach by following and improving policies and procedures
- Collaborating with individuals from various teams including engineers, product, design, IT, and security
- Evaluating and improving system architecture and deployment quality by working embedded with engineering teams
- Driving improvements in existing systems and processes and developing end-to-end designs for critical platform services
- Documenting everything and ensuring proper tracking of issues and architecture design changes
- Providing 24/7 support to various teams
- Having experience with databases
- Having a high level of skill with managed services offered by various cloud providers, preferably AWS
- Demonstrating disciplined coding in an agile environment
- Designing and implementing a full release for CI/CD services
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Ops & Automation
- Leading the charge on improving the developer experience through the use of modern technologies and innovative uses of open source tooling
- A security-focused approach, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed entirely and improved when inadequate
- Working with individuals spanning engineers, product, design, IT, and security
- Working embedded with engineering teams to evaluate and improve system architecture and deployment quality
- An innate drive to improve existing systems and processes while developing end-to-end designs to facilitate critical platform services
- Documenting everything, understanding why documentation is important, and ensuring proper tracking of issues and/or architecture design changes
- Ability to support 24/7 to various teams
- Database experience
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Cloud platforms experience, with a high level of skill in all managed services offered by various cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc) - AWS preferred
- Disciplined coding in an agile environment, breaking features into tickets, scoping and working those tickets from PR to release
- Experience with CI/CD services and the ability to design and implement a full release
