About The Position

This role is for a Senior DevOps Administrator with strong Linux and cybersecurity expertise, responsible for designing, managing, securing, and automating Linux infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Linux systems administration, cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and security best practices. The position ensures high availability, performance, compliance, and security across cloud environments. The role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in complex, modern cloud environments and enjoys solving hard technical problems. You’ll work alongside talented technical leaders, influence architecture decisions, and help drive the evolution of secure, scalable infrastructure. Requirements

  • Subject matter expertise in Linux administration, especially Red Hat Linux.
  • Significant experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based virtual machines and infrastructure.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot advanced OS, application, performance, and security issues; experience preparing RCA documentation.
  • Background in architecting scalable distributed systems using open-source tools.
  • Hands-on proficiency with DevOps automation and IaC tooling (Git, bash, Ansible, Python, Terraform).
  • Knowledge of IAM, networking, load balancing, file transfers, security engineering, and disaster recovery.
  • Practical experience applying enterprise security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in Linux hardening and vulnerability assessment workflows.
  • Experience responding to security incidents and conducting forensic analysis.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CMMC, and FedRAMP.
  • Ability to influence technical stakeholders and communicate clearly across teams.
  • Strong accountability, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and documentation skills.
  • Comfort working remotely and taking on off-hours work as needed for maintenance or on-call rotation.
  • 10–12 years in IT with 8+ years managing Linux systems and enterprise applications.
  • 5+ years scripting/coding.
  • 3+ years enterprise compute support.
  • Certifications in OS, security, networking, or cloud.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • US Citizenship is required.

  • Develop security-hardened environments aligned with CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs, and industry compliance standards.
  • Establish response and forensic processes.
