Precision•Washington, DC
•$105,000 - $139,999•Hybrid

About The Position

Precision is seeking a hands-on Senior Designer with an exceptional command of layout, typography, presentations, and branding. The role spans rebrands, logos, campaigns, decks, digital and print materials, and design for video. The designer will collaborate with creative directors and copywriters to develop concepts and establish distinctive, coherent visual direction across formats. Clients bring complex challenges involving technology, people, government, law, and politics, so the role calls for curiosity and thoughtful engagement with subject matter beyond design. The Senior Designer will own substantial assignments from exploration through final production, maintain a high standard of craft, and contribute to the quality of the team’s work by delegating to, mentoring, and reviewing junior designers. The position may be based in Washington, D.C. or New York, NY. Precision currently uses a hybrid model and requires staff to work in the office 50% of working days each month.

  • Art direction skills, including establishing a visual approach and guiding others in executing it.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Strong presentation design skills in Google Slides and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Experience mentoring designers, delegating assignments, and providing actionable creative feedback.
  • Curiosity about the world beyond work and ability to engage thoughtfully with complex issues.
