About the position
As a Senior Data Engineer/Analyst at Codazen, you will be responsible for extracting insights from complex datasets, developing accurate forecasts, building data pipelines, and designing robust data models to support data-driven decision-making. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data engineering will play a vital role in optimizing our data infrastructure and driving strategic business outcomes. This is a hybrid position based in Irvine, CA, with 4 days on-site and 1 day WFH.
Responsibilities
- Cross-functional partnership with customers to identify and understand data needs
- Design, develop, and deliver effective and reliable data pipelines
- Securely source new data to enhance and improve the quality of information
- Proficient in developing data models for efficient storage and retrieval
- Evaluate the potential value and impact of data engineering projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing analysis, findings, and recommendations
- In-depth knowledge of statistical techniques for power analysis
- Develop, implement, and evaluate advanced statistical models and forecasting techniques
- Design and develop automation scripts and frameworks using programming languages
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Provide technical leadership to team members through mentorship, coaching, and knowledge sharing
Requirements

- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, coaching, and knowledge sharing
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with focus on data analysis, opportunity sizing, project evaluation, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of data storage, processing, and integration technologies
- Demonstrated ability in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
- Excellent communication skills
