About The Position
Decentralized energy resources are the key component supporting the world-wide shift to renewable energy production. These offer clean, cheap and democratized access to the backbone of our modern world: electricity. At gridX, you will shape the future of energy by building and optimizing data products that intelligently connect and orchestrate millions of decentralized energy resources worldwide. You will develop advanced data workflows, designing and implementing scalable clustering and forecasting workflows based on asset measurements and complex time-series data. You will empower energy trading by delivering the precise evaluations and predictions necessary for high-stakes decision-making and trading on the wholesale energy market. You will solve scalability challenges by applying solid engineering and creative problem-solving to ensure millions of individual assets work together in perfect concert. You will drive sustainable impact by collaborating with a growing team to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions that accelerate the global transition to a fully renewable energy system.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working on real-world projects with a proven history of delivering robust data solutions into production.
- Comfortable working with large-scale time-series data and deeply understand the unique structural and processing challenges it presents.
- Solid experience writing clean, maintainable code for complex data manipulation and transformation tasks.
- Strong proficiency in Go, or strong proficiency in equivalent languages like Python.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Practical experience provisioning and managing scalable infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experienced in building and orchestrating complex data pipelines and ML workflows.
- Practical experience with any comparable orchestration and model lifecycle tools is fully transferable.
- Experience with Metaflow, Argo, and MLflow is a plus.
- Experience with ClickHouse is a highly valued asset.
- Experience with Python, Polars, and Pandas is required for the forecasting ecosystem.

Responsibilities

- Take full ownership of system reliability, actively monitoring and stabilizing workflows to ensure continuous, high-quality operations.
- Thoroughly test, validate, and benchmark models and data products prior to deploying them into live environments.
- Maintain clear visibility over production systems and possess practical experience setting up metrics and alerting dashboards using Grafana.
