About The Position

Brightside Health is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support network optimization across its 50 state markets and multiple clinical care programs. The role builds and maintains forecasts of network capacity and patient demand to guide supply investment, and partners with Network Operations and Clinical Talent on clinician recruitment, onboarding, and retention insights. The analyst develops measurement frameworks for clinical quality, therapeutic alliance, and patient panel balance; collaborates with Product and Engineering on experiments; and serves as the primary analytics partner for the Network POD. The role explains performance changes, connects metrics to OKRs and clinical and financial outcomes, and presents insights and experiment results to leadership. The analyst also contributes to AI-powered analytics infrastructure by developing and documenting data models that support KPI reporting and agentic analytics, while addressing ambiguous problems with systematic, scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of analytics experience, with a Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Expert-level SQL and data modeling in a cloud data warehouse, such as BigQuery/GCP, and a track record of writing clean, performant, well-documented code.
  • Hands-on experience developing and scaling a dbt project, including testing, documentation, and governed metric definitions.
  • Strong forecasting and econometric modeling skills, ideally paired with operations research methods such as capacity planning, supply-demand optimization, or resource allocation.
  • Experience designing, running, and interpreting A/B tests and other experiments, including knowing how to proceed when a clean experiment is not possible.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau to build dashboards and communicate clear data-driven stories.
  • Fluency with AI tools and MCPs, and a habit of using them to accelerate data exploration and insight generation.
  • Ability to turn complex analyses into clear business recommendations, with excellent written and verbal communication for audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
  • Self-starter mindset; comfort with ambiguity, setting priorities independently, and thriving in a fast-moving startup environment.
