About The Position

Nectir is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Business Operations to own all internal-facing data, covering sales, marketing, customer success, finance, operations, and engineering activity. The role involves building and running data pipelines, ensuring data trustworthiness, and delivering insights to relevant teams. The initial six-month priority will be on sales and marketing data. The existing tech stack includes BigQuery, dbt, Airbyte, and a custom Python application for dashboards. The analyst will extend this stack rather than design it from scratch and will report to the Director of Analytics, working closely with various business teams.

Requirements

  • Experience building, deploying, and operating production data pipelines from REST APIs, databases, and third-party SaaS tools.
  • Proficiency in production Python (version-controlled, tested, scheduled, deployed).
  • Strong engineering fundamentals including Git, CI/CD, cron, and code deployment.
  • Daily use of AI coding tools.
  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders to scope and deliver analysis.
  • Self-directed with the ability to prioritize work independently.
  • Strong written communication skills for a remote, async team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BigQuery or comparable cloud warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks).
  • Experience with dbt or comparable transformation frameworks (SQLMesh, Dataform).
  • Experience with Airbyte or comparable integration tooling (Fivetran, Meltano).
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
  • Experience with HubSpot or Salesforce data modeling.
  • Experience with forecasting, segmentation, clustering, or churn modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate data pipelines, including a bidirectional HubSpot ↔ BigQuery integration.
  • Develop pipelines from other sources like Gong, LinkedIn, GCP and Azure billing, and engineering activity, using Airbyte or custom solutions.
  • Model data in dbt and ensure pipeline operation through monitoring, alerting, backfills, deduplication, and schema drift management.
  • Own data quality and the data model, defining the structure for sales and marketing data (accounts, contacts, segmentation, attribution, activity, product usage).
  • Enforce data standards with automated checks and manage exceptions.
  • Reconcile data before publishing to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success to define and deliver on data requests.
  • Develop recurring answers in internal dashboards for self-service data retrieval.
  • Build customer health scoring.
  • Model sales forecasts and customer segments.
  • Track cloud, inference, and vendor spend per customer to determine margin per customer.
