About The Position

East West Bank is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst to support its Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The team contributes to company planning, forecasting, and performance reporting. This role combines technical skills and business understanding to improve reporting workflows, data quality, and efficiency, with opportunities to contribute to automation and analytics enhancements within FP&A.

The position develops and optimizes data queries, ETL processes, dashboards, and report pipelines; supports recurring reporting; investigates data discrepancies; and performs system administration tasks. The analyst works with technical and business partners and may take on other assigned duties. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered. The base pay range is USD $80,000 to $120,000 per year, with offers determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in a financial, data, or analytical role.
• Strong SQL (SSMS) and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Python, and Visual Studio.
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and KPI/reporting development.
• Strong attention to detail, an analytical mindset, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice To Haves

• FP&A experience.
• Experience with Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, ETL processes, Power BI dashboards, and report pipelines.
• Support recurring reporting procedures, including validating and reconciling data from multiple system sources.
• Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and lead automation initiatives.
• Investigate data discrepancies and resolve root causes.
• Perform system administration tasks, including user access and configuration updates.
• Communicate effectively with technical and business partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
