Temporal is hiring its first Customer Advocacy team member to partner with the Director in building and operating the foundations of its customer advocacy system. The role earns and maintains the trust of customer advocates and Sales teams by understanding advocate stories, relationship owners, readiness, and the field’s needs. It helps establish how advocates are sourced and nurtured, how references are matched and tracked, how customer evidence is created and maintained, and how teams across Sales, Product Marketing, PR, Developer Relations, and Product use that evidence. The Director sets the strategy, priorities, operating model, and success measures, and owns executive and advisory relationships. This role contributes customer and field insight to that strategy and owns day-to-day programs and processes. The position operates the reference program, builds advocate records and intake and consent processes, and maintains a trusted source of customer stories and proof points. It works across Marketing, PR, Analyst Relations, Events, Developer Relations, community, Product, and Sales to activate customers in appropriate formats and opportunities while preserving customers’ voices and technical accuracy. It also supports measurable reporting on advocacy’s relationship to deals, pipeline, retention, and expansion, develops feedback loops for customer insight, and uses AI and automation to scale work while applying human judgment to customer-facing outputs. Temporal is a remote-first, engineering-led, developer-focused company. The role involves occasional travel, including company offsites and Replay. Temporal is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities.
