About The Position

K-Dimensional Holdings Inc. dba Coast is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join their team. This role involves analyzing internal and external data to refine credit risk policies, create best-in-class risk management infrastructure, and contribute to the automation of credit risk operations. The analyst will also conduct data-driven investigations into potential fraud and perform root cause analysis to improve predictive capabilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for developing and implementing credit-related strategies and policies. The position is located in New York, NY, with the possibility of telecommuting within a reasonable commuting distance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Information Systems, or Management Science
  • 2 years in credit risk analysis or related occupation within consumer or small and medium enterprise (SME) lending.
  • Experience deploying SQL and Python.
  • Experience with MS office applications.
  • Experience with root cause and statistical analysis related to credit defaults and risk exposures.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, utilizing SQL and Python, that includes data cleansing, wrangling, visualization, modeling, and interpretation related to credit risk and fraud.
  • Experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation related to credit risk and fraud.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Experience designing and managing data reporting frameworks related to credit risk and fraud.
  • Experience creating underwriting and risk management strategies.
  • Experience investigating and evaluating efficiency of risk management policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to execute credit policies, improve operational tooling, and shape the risk management infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze internal and external data—including credit bureau, financial, transactional, and application data—to support and refine credit risk policies for underwriting, credit line adjustments, and account-level decisioning.
  • Help create best-in-class credit policies and risk management infrastructure.
  • Design and manage data reporting frameworks related to credit risk and fraud by partnering with data engineers and analytics teams.
  • Contribute to the automation and optimization of credit risk operations by building decision frameworks and supporting risk modeling.
  • Conduct data-driven investigations into potential fraud incidents such as identity theft or account takeovers.
  • Perform root cause analysis to improve predictive capabilities for credit defaults and risk exposures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, finance, legal, operations, sales, and marketing to develop and implement credit-related strategies and policies.
