About The Position

A compliance and credit reporting expert! Someone who understands consumer credit reporting, dispute investigations, FCRA requirements, and Metro 2 reporting standards, and can confidently apply that knowledge to complex member situations. A natural investigator! You're skilled at gathering facts, reviewing account histories, analyzing supporting documentation, and determining accurate, well-supported dispute outcomes while maintaining meticulous documentation. Not afraid to take ownership! You'll manage the full lifecycle of direct and indirect credit disputes, ensuring cases are handled accurately, thoroughly, and within regulatory and internal service level requirements. Focused on quality and risk management! You have a keen eye for identifying reporting errors, documentation gaps, compliance concerns, recurring trends, and opportunities for corrective action before they become larger issues. Collaboration comes naturally! Whether working with members, lending teams, collections, compliance, legal, operations, or credit bureaus, you know how to build partnerships and drive resolutions. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services, lending, collections, loan servicing, compliance, credit reporting, or related operations
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting investigations, dispute resolution, case management, or similar operational functions
  • Working knowledge of consumer credit reporting requirements, dispute investigation standards, FCRA, and CDIA Credit Reporting Resource Guide (CRRG) guidance
  • Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prepare clear, professional, and compliance-defensible documentation and case records
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong member-service mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with case management systems and research tools
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required

Responsibilities
