About The Position

Skylo is seeking an experienced in-house Paralegal to manage the day-to-day operations of the legal department. This is a hands-on role focused on operational efficiency rather than research. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the legal intake tool (Streamline), routine workflows such as contract intake, triage, signature routing, execution, and filing, and maintaining corporate records, trackers, and knowledge repositories essential for a growing global company. The goal is to make legal processes fast and accessible, reducing turnaround times, eliminating contract location issues, and developing templates and self-service resources to empower the business to handle routine queries independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate.
  • 5+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience, with significant in-house experience at a technology company.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a legal intake, matter management, or contract lifecycle management platform, including configuration, administration, and driving adoption.
  • Hands-on experience running signature workflows at volume in DocuSign or Adobe Sign, including template and envelope configuration and signature authority verification.
  • Working familiarity with commercial contracts such as NDAs, vendor and procurement agreements, DPAs, SOWs, order forms, and amendments.
  • Experience maintaining corporate records and entity management for a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction company.
  • Strong systems fluency across Google Workspace, Confluence, Jira, DocuSign, and e-billing tools.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with a proven record of managing a high-volume queue against deadlines.
  • Clear, concise written communication and professional judgment to handle confidential and privileged information.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving company and building processes as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate across US, European, and Indian time zones, with occasional flexibility for early or late calls.

Nice To Haves

  • ABA-approved paralegal program, NALA (CP/ACP) or NFPA (RP) certification preferred.
  • Law firm corporate or commercial experience is valued.
  • Experience with Streamline, Ironclad, LinkSquares, Agiloft, Evisort, SimpleLegal or similar is a strong plus.
  • The judgment to prepare routine documents from playbooks and know when to escalate to counsel.
  • Comfort building trackers, dashboards, and lightweight automations.
  • Experience supporting satellite, telecommunications, IoT, semiconductor, or other technology and hardware businesses is a plus.
  • Exposure to privacy, export control, IP docketing, or equity administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own Streamline as the system administrator and process owner, including triaging requests, assigning and prioritizing matters, chasing information, enforcing SLAs, and maintaining a clean queue.
  • Configure intake forms, routing rules, approval paths, and templates to adapt to business evolution.
  • Manage the end-to-end routine contract workflow, including preparing and populating templates (NDAs, DPAs, vendor and procurement agreements, order forms, SOWs, amendments).
  • Route contracts for internal review and approval, manage the signature process via DocuSign, confirm full execution, and file the final version.
  • Serve as the owner of signature workflows, verifying signatory authority, managing envelopes, tracking status, and confirming counterparty execution.
  • Maintain the signature authority matrix and escalate exceptions.
  • Maintain the contract repository as the single source of truth, ensuring consistent naming, complete metadata, correct permissions, and no orphaned drafts.
  • Drive the cleanup and migration of legacy agreements.
  • Build and maintain legal and business trackers for matter status, contract pipeline, renewal/expiration calendars, obligations, outside counsel spend, and compliance deadlines.
  • Produce recurring reports on volume, cycle time, and bottlenecks, and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Maintain corporate records for Skylo’s US and international entities, including board and stockholder minutes, consents, resolutions, organizational documents, minute books, registered agent coordination, annual reports, and business licenses.
  • Support board and stockholder meeting logistics, prepare signature packets, and maintain the corporate calendar.
  • Build and continuously improve Skylo’s legal knowledge base, including playbooks, template libraries, FAQs, and process guides on Confluence.
  • Map existing legal processes, identify inefficiencies, and redesign them for automation and standardization.
  • Document all owned processes.
  • Maintain the IP docket in coordination with outside counsel, covering patent and trademark deadlines, prosecution status, invention disclosures, and renewal dates.
  • Support recurring compliance obligations, including DPA and privacy paperwork, vendor and security questionnaires, policy attestations, insurance certificates, and audit requests.
  • Act as the operational interface to outside counsel and legal vendors, handling engagement letters, conflict checks, matter budgets, invoice review, and spend reporting.
  • Assemble and maintain diligence data rooms for financing, partnership, and audit processes.
  • Support legal holds, document collection, subpoena handling, and administer the records retention schedule.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Procurement, Finance, People Ops, Engineering, and Network Operations teams across different locations.
