Our Scarborough Subway Extension Office is seeking to hire a Senior Coordinator to support the delivery of transit facilities for the Scarborough Subway extension (i.e., underground Stations, Rail & Systems (SRS). The Senior Coordinator works as part of the project Controls Team, in a collaborative environment comprised of multi-disciplinary teams, designers, technical advisors, subject matter experts and contractors overseeing the day-to-day design and construction to deliver the project on-time, on budget and in a safe and standardized manner.

Requirements

  • Relevant Education: Graduate with a degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Technology, Science, Project Management).
  • Demonstrated experience in heavy civil or industrial projects, and direct experience in quality management
  • Comprehensive understanding of the range of contracting options available, e.g. P3 to Progressive / Collaborative contract models
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and project delivery processes across the range of contracts available
  • Extensive experience with an ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System
  • Lead auditor experience and ISO 19011 skills
  • Hands-on experience with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes
  • Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Quality Assurance and Monitoring Plan for an assigned Project in line with the Capital Projects Group’s (CPG) Quality Management System (QMS), identifying the processes and procedures needed to monitor the quality compliance of the Contractor and other Parties to their contractual requirements
  • Train and induct the Project Delivery team on the Project Quality Assurance Plan (PQAP)
  • Coordinate and review with Quality Management support team Contractors’ and other Parties’ quality related submittals including quality management plans, quality processes/procedures, inspection and test plans, etc., for compliance with the Contract and ISO 9001 requirements
  • Liaising with Field Quality Assurance and Technical Services Consultant to verify Contractor adherence to project quality plans, processes and procedures including the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans, and the assist in the resolution of non-conformances
  • Prepare a comprehensive quality audit program for the project including internal and external audits based on the project risk criteria, conducting and/or participating in audits, and attending Contractor internal audits
