About The Position

The Senior Coordinator, ASUA, reports directly to the Associate Dean of Students for Student Leadership and Governance and coordinates the operational and administrative functions that support the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA), including the Executive Officers, Senate, and Supreme Court. This position independently administers office operations, governance logistics, financial and administrative processes, and front desk services while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The Senior Coordinator also coordinates administrative operations supporting SafeRide and University of Arizona Emergency Medical Services (UAEMS) and provides operational support to the Associate Dean in advancing departmental priorities and initiatives. This position ensures the efficient delivery of programs and services that support student leadership and ASUA governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Knowledge of office administration and business operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and enterprise information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and administers operational support for the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) Executive Officers, Senate, and Supreme Court.
  • Manages administrative operations for the ASUA Executive Officers by coordinating complex calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing committees.
  • Coordinates and oversees administrative operations to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of SafeRide and University of Arizona Emergency Medical Services (UAEMS).
  • Develops, evaluates, and implements administrative procedures and operational workflows that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of ASUA business operations, governance support, and office services.
  • Provides administrative and operational support to the Associate Dean of Students for Student Leadership and Governance by coordinating departmental priorities, meetings, events, communications, and special projects.
  • Coordinates logistical planning and scheduling for ASUA conference rooms, governance meetings, special events, and travel arrangements.
  • Administers the daily operations of the ASUA Front Desk by supervising student employees, coordinating staffing schedules, developing and maintaining operational procedures, and ensuring a professional, welcoming, and customer-focused environment.
  • Administers scholarships, stipend, and award payment processes through UAccess Student by reviewing, processing, and monitoring transactions to ensure accuracy, timely completion, and compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Manages administrative and office operations for ASUA, including procurement of supplies, facilities coordination, CatCard access, key management, and oversight of office resources.
  • Reviews ASUA financial transactions, ensuring compliance with University of Arizona financial policies.
