Senior Content Strategist, Enterprise

ClioToronto, ON
CA$93,900 - CA$127,100Hybrid

About The Position

Clio is seeking a Senior Content Strategist to join their Enterprise Content Team in Toronto for a 12-month contract, covering a maternity leave. This role is crucial for supporting the Senior Manager, Content Strategy, and involves owning content programs end-to-end, setting quality standards, and collaborating with the Content Specialist, Enterprise. The team operates with the agility of a startup within a larger organization, requiring individuals who can adapt to shifting priorities and tight deadlines. The Senior Content Strategist will be responsible for producing high-quality content across various formats, ensuring brand consistency, and leveraging AI tools effectively. They will also play a key role in reviewing team output, providing strategic input, partnering with cross-functional teams, and tracking content performance.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in content marketing or content strategy, ideally in B2B SaaS, legal technology, Big Law or corporate legal departments.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills: you produce clean, strategic, audience-right content with minimal oversight and can tell immediately when a draft is not there yet.
  • Strong editorial judgment and taste: you know what good looks like, can articulate why, and can help others get there.
  • Experience working within enterprise-focused content programs, supporting complex buying groups and longer sales cycles.
  • Comfortable taking direction and running with it by asking smart questions upfront, filling in the gaps, and delivering work that is on-brief without needing to check in constantly.
  • Experience reviewing or editing the work of others, formally or informally.
  • Comfortable owning a vertical or content type end-to-end, with the ability to shift focus as priorities change.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to build relationships with Sales, PMM, and Demand Generation and get useful things out of those conversations.
  • A genuine curiosity about the product: you will be expected to get hands-on with Clio’s products to understand what it does and how enterprise customers use it.
  • Strong brand instincts and a sharp ear for when AI-generated copy sounds like AI. You know how to use these tools to move faster without letting them flatten the voice.
  • Proficiency with AI writing and research tools is required, including Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT. Candidates must be able to speak to live, practical examples of how they incorporate these tools into their content workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Asana and Sprout Social is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Produce polished, publication-ready content across formats including whitepapers, reports, executive briefs, case studies, webinars, and campaign content packages independently and with minimal revision cycles.
  • Write video scripts for thought leadership content including keynotes, long-form LinkedIn video, and executive-led formats capturing a named leader’s voice authentically while keeping the content sharp, on-message, and audience-right.
  • Bring editorial judgment to every piece, from executing a brief to sharpening the angle, and making calls on what will resonate with enterprise audiences.
  • Use AI tools to move faster, while holding a high bar for voice and brand consistency and knowing when a draft needs a light edit versus a full rewrite, and being honest about the difference.
  • Own content programs end-to-end within your vertical or content type, from brief through delivery, performance analysis, and iteration.
  • Adapt fluidly between long-form and short-form, or between verticals, based on team needs and business priorities.
  • Review and provide editorial feedback on first drafts produced by the Content Specialist, raising the quality of the work before it reaches the Senior Manager.
  • Help the Specialist sharpen their instincts over time through clear, direct feedback that is grounded in audience insight and content strategy.
  • Maintain a high and consistent editorial bar across all Enterprise content, regardless of who produced the first draft.
  • Contribute strategic thinking to content planning conversations by offering a point of view on what enterprise buyers need to hear, challenging assumptions, and flagging when an approach is off.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales, Legal Architects, and Customer Success to translate positioning and campaign objectives into effective content.
  • Surface insights from stakeholder conversations and cross-functional work that could inform content direction and bring them to the Senior Manager proactively.
  • Support ABM programs with targeted, account-specific content for priority enterprise accounts and segments.
  • Track performance of content within your ownership area and translate data into clear observations and recommendations.
  • Identify what is working, what is not, and why and come to the Senior Manager with a point of view, not just a report.
  • Contribute to content planning and calendar management in alignment with campaign priorities and market moments.

Benefits

  • Competitive, equitable salary with top-tier health benefits, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Hybrid work environment, with expectation for local Clions (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, London, New York City and Sydney) to be in office min. twice per week.
  • Flexible time off policy, with an encouraged 20 days off per year.
  • $2000 annual counseling benefit.
  • RRSP matching and RESP contribution.
  • Clioversary recognition program with special acknowledgement at 3, 5, 7, and 10 years.
