Senior Content Marketing Manager

VTS•New York, NY
•$120,000 - $160,000•Hybrid

About The Position

VTS is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to own content strategy across the full marketing funnel. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who can both set the content strategy and produce most of it themselves — from long- and short-form writing to video storyboarding and executive presentations. You'll shape how VTS shows up across every format and channel, partnering closely with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and cross-functional teams including Executives, Sales, and Customer Success to make sure content connects to what the business actually needs. Please note that this opportunity is located in New York, NY, and requires this hire to work from our office 4 days a week.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of B2B marketing experience with breadth across content formats — long-form, short-form, video, social, and customer content — rather than depth in a single specialty like case studies alone.
  • A strong, versatile writer who can produce polished content independently, not just direct others to produce it.
  • Comfortable holding executive-facing conversations and taking a point of view on messaging, translating what you hear from stakeholders into a clear narrative.
  • A point of view on content distribution — how the right piece reaches the right audience through the right channel.
  • Fluent with AI tools (e.g., Claude) as part of your everyday workflow, using them to scale output and move faster, not as an occasional aid.
  • Experience with SEO and emerging AEO/answer-engine optimization practices.
  • Startup or enterprise background both work, provided you bring range across content types rather than a single area of specialization.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scrappy environment where you'll both set strategy and roll up your sleeves to execute it.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience with decks and presentations — a plus, not a requirement; storytelling instinct matters more than design polish.

Responsibilities

  • Own VTS's content strategy end-to-end: define the right mix of long-form, short-form, video, employee-generated content across the funnel, from top-of-funnel awareness through customer expansion.
  • Take what you hear from executives, sales, customers, and prospects and work with the VP of Marketing to translate it into our overall messaging. Then bring that messaging to life in decks, presentations, and content for internal and external audiences.
  • Produce the majority of our content yourself, especially written work, while knowing when to bring in our creative and video teams, or agency support, for storyboarding, production, or specialized formats.
  • Develop and own our customer content program (case studies, customer stories, and other proof points), showcasing customer outcomes in ways that support both new business and expansion.
  • Own social content strategy and execution, including employee-generated content and thought leadership posting.
  • Drive SEO and AEO strategy across our website, landing pages, and content, ensuring VTS shows up in both traditional search and AI-driven answer engines.
  • Partner closely with Growth Marketing to produce the right content for our paid and owned channels, bringing a point of view on how content should be distributed to reach the right audience, and with Product Marketing to build materials that support product launches.
  • Partner with the events team to turn events and other high-visibility marketing moments into content with a longer lifetime, extending their value well beyond the moment itself.
