Senior Content Manager

Jacob Bar Inc.New York, NY
$120,000 - $150,000Onsite

About The Position

Content is central to building the Jacob brand world across various channels including hero campaigns, out-of-home, social media, paid advertising, retail, and packaging. As the Senior Content Manager, you will be responsible for guiding content from its initial conception through to its final distribution. While the founder sets the vision and the creative director handles the visuals, you will focus on the practical aspects: determining the specific needs of each channel, the required formats, and ensuring a clear deliverables list is established before production begins. Your role is to manage the placement, timing, and format of content, ensuring a seamless transition from ideation to publication. This position does not involve creative vision or media buying, but rather enhances these areas through meticulous organization, utilizing calendars, channels, pipelines, and systems to ensure complex launches are executed as a coordinated effort. Approximately one-third of your time will be dedicated to shaping the content produced, with the remaining time focused on its distribution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in content operations, integrated production, or campaign management at a brand, studio, or agency.
  • Experience in fashion, lifestyle, editorial, or media is a plus.
  • Ability to work within an established vision, offering constructive feedback to refine plans without needing to be the primary author.
  • Fluent understanding of channel mechanics (feed, sponsored listing, billboard, inbox) and their specific content needs.
  • Conversant in paid media, with experience collaborating closely with media buyers.
  • Direct, low-ego approach, energized by collaborative teamwork where the best idea prevails.
  • Obsessive attention to detail, ability to operate with speed, and a track record of delivering on time and in full.

  • Stay informed about content performance on each channel, the needs of retail and media partners, and any changes in specifications.
  • Own the content calendar end-to-end, planning the distribution of brand campaigns, product drops, and partnership moments across organic social, email, web, paid placements, and retail/OOH.
  • Ensure full-funnel alignment across owned channels for cohesive and clean launches.
  • Build and manage the operational systems, including the asset library, naming conventions, approval workflows, and launch checklists.
  • Collaborate daily with the founder and creative director on reviews, and align with external platform and production partners.
