About The Position

IFS Australia is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Senior Aerospace & Defense Application Consultant to support IFS product implementations. The consultant will work directly with IFS customers and partners on industry solutions in the Aerospace & Defense sector and collaborate with geographically distributed teams, gaining international exposure through project implementation and commercial execution. The role combines industry experience with IFS best practices to guide customers through implementation of core IFS business solutions. The consultant serves as a functional expert and trusted advisor, defining and owning the Aerospace & Defense solution scope, aligning customer requirements with IFS products, and helping customers improve their business. The position also contributes to customer satisfaction, colleague development, and ongoing improvement of IFS products, processes, and methodology.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Experience delivering Aerospace & Defense solutions in a similar role.
Proven ability to lead and influence teams, colleagues, customers, and partners.
Ability to articulate and critically evaluate customer-specific business needs and solutions in a customer-facing role.
Expertise in business process mapping and deployment.
Strong problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills at the executive level.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Ability to travel nationally and internationally.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of and a record of successful IFS product implementations.
Knowledge of and a record of successful cloud-based implementations.
Industry-specific knowledge in Aerospace, Defense, Manufacturing, Engineering and Construction, Energy, Utilities, or Resources.
Experience in Aerospace & Defense work with appropriate security clearances.
Previous experience in consulting services.
Solid knowledge of IFS products or similar ERP, EAM, or FSM solutions.
Formal project management training or certifications, such as Project Management Institute, PRINCE2, or IPMA.
Business process certifications, such as APICS or CPIM.
Strategic program certifications, such as Six Sigma Black Belt.

Responsibilities

Guide customers in improving their business through knowledge of the core IFS solution and industry accelerators.
Understand customers’ Aerospace & Defense businesses, industries, and local asset, service, and maintenance practices and policies.
Act as a trusted advisor by articulating and critically evaluating customer-specific business solutions.
Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
Understand customer business needs and guide customers in effective use of IFS products.
Lead and own solution definition and scope for the Aerospace & Defense portion of the IFS solution.
Identify and bridge gaps between customer business requirements and IFS products.
Conduct customer training sessions and workshops.
Guide and assist customers with testing and Go Live cut-over strategies.
Stay up to date with Aerospace & Defense regulatory and compliance requirements in key focus industries.
Manage, coach, and mentor IFS colleagues.
Contribute to continuous improvement of IFS products, processes, and methodology.
