About The Position

The Assembler III completes product assembly by aligning parts, following work instructions, and checking that work meets quality standards. The role builds and inspects DC harnesses and RF cable assemblies, installs and solders coaxial cables, and builds, installs, and reworks baluns. The assembler performs manufacturing operations, prepares equipment for production orders, handles parts and sub-assemblies, and completes required production and quality documentation. The position also requires maintaining quality and safety standards and a clean, safe work environment, and includes the ability and willingness to train junior assemblers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Soldering skills and experience.
• Ability to complete J-STD-001 and be certified.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and standardized work procedures to complete product assembly.
• Build assemblies using work instructions, work orders, and drawings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electric soldering in compliance with IPC-610 and Class III Workmanship.
• Maintain accountability for product and process quality and required documentation.
• Set up equipment in preparation for production orders.
• Receive parts and sub-assemblies in the work area.
• Complete pre-assembly work when required.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Build and inspect DC harnesses and RF cable assemblies.
• Build, install, and solder coaxial cables.
• Build, install, and rework baluns.
• Perform manufacturing operations proficiently.
• Train junior assemblers as needed.
• Ensure work meets quality and safety standards and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
