About The Position

Keville Enterprises Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Construction Inspector to join their team in Rocky Hill, CT. Keville Enterprises Inc. is an established Construction Management Consulting & Inspection firm that has been serving the Construction Management Industry since 1991. They specialize in providing a full spectrum of construction management and support services as an owner's representative on public and private projects. This role focuses on inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications, contract administration, reporting daily progress, tracking and documenting quantities of work performed, resolving construction problems and challenges in the field, and other oversight responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • A minimum of four years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field is required, with two years in a field inspection capacity.
  • A NICET Level 3 is required for this position.
  • A current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer's License or a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field is also acceptable.
  • Fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software.
  • OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
  • Employees assigned to driving duties must have a current, valid US State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Other certifications including NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP HMA Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, Soils and Concrete, ACI Technician and AWS/CWI are a plus.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree may be substituted for two years of experience.
