About The Position

Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a talented Senior Configuration Management Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields. Leidos Defense Systems provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The Sr. Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Duties include ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data that is created from internal projects or supplied by the customer. Sr. Configuration Analyst will work independently to develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines. Sr. Configuration Analyst will provide project support in creating/reviewing contents of CDRL’s, SDRL’s, item records, change records and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Sr. Configuration Analyst will be responsible for executing Configuration and Data Management processes and controls; ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. Sr. Configuration Analyst will write and maintain documents such as CM corporate policies, Configuration Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, program Access Control lists, desktop instructions, CM work instructions and audit forms. Sr. Configuration Analyst will oversee CM team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches. Sr. Configuration Analyst will support tasks in a dynamic environment, working closely with the CM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, other teams, and the customer and/or external contacts to support products throughout their lifecycle. Sr. Configuration Analyst will be expected to work on site for a minimum of 4+ days a week.

Requirements

  • A 4 year degree in a relevant applicable field and 8+ years of prior relevant experience; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Detailed knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques of technical domain and develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in configuration change management principles and record types.
  • Detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software and other CM practices as detailed in SAE EIA-649 (series and associated handbooks), ASME Y14 (series), ISO 9001, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-61, DODM 5200.01 (series), DODI 5200.48 etc.
  • Detailed knowledge and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. (Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, etc.)
  • Detailed knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams and specifications.
  • Detailed knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CREO, Solidworks, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill, Solidworks PDM Pro, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio experience is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and/or working knowledge with NDIA CDM, CMII or other Configuration Management/Data Management certification

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, customer representatives and external contacts.
