About The Position

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana. The analyst develops and tracks configuration documentation, data, and software for technical products, services, and processes, and ensures configuration items (CIs) are stored and controlled throughout their lifecycle. The role collaborates with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information, maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, and support timely delivery to the government customer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, and five years of experience working directly as a configuration manager of a team; four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date configuration documentation.
• Understanding of configuration management principles and concepts, including creating and maintaining bills of material (BOMs) and/or baselines (BLs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the SharePoint platform.
• Active SECRET clearance or above.

Responsibilities

• Use configuration management tools and systems to track and control configuration items throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain records and documentation of configuration item status and history, track changes, updates, and releases, and keep the internal configuration management database up to date.
• Monitor and audit configuration changes for compliance with established processes and procedures.
• Provide development teams with support on configuration management tasks and inquiries.
• Contribute to identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of configuration management practices.
