About The Position

Leidos Defense is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support product design changes and assess their effects on the overall system. The analyst ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorization, including data created by internal projects or supplied by customers. The position works independently on complex assignments and supports projects by creating and reviewing CDRLs, SDRLs, item records, change records, and other records in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

The analyst writes and maintains Configuration Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, program access control lists, desktop instructions, CM work instructions, and audit forms. The role also performs and oversees the production of CSA reports and data-pull outputs. The analyst works in a dynamic environment with configuration management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, other teams, and customers to support products throughout their lifecycle. On-site work is required at least four days per week.

Requirements

• A four-year degree in a relevant applicable field and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience; additional education, experience, or training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must reside in the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama, Alabama area.
• Detailed knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
• Detailed knowledge of bills of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
• Detailed knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of the technical domain, with broad understanding of related specialty areas.
• Detailed knowledge and experience in configuration change management principles and record types.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent.
• Ability to perform in a collaborative engineering environment and work closely with multidisciplinary teams and customer representatives.
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance in the future.
• U.S. citizenship is required for consideration.
• Must work on site at least four days per week.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or working knowledge in engineering/design, manufacturing engineering, or supply chain management.
• Experience with space flight equipment and processes.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software such as CREO or Solidworks.
• Working knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill or Solidworks PDM Pro.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with Visio.
