About The Position

The Senior Commercial Manager leads the commercial development of strategic opportunities in the IET Industrial Power Generation business. The role owns end-to-end proposal strategy through contract finalization for complex, high-value projects, developing competitive, profitable, customer-focused solutions. It works across sales, engineering, project execution, and finance to drive bid strategy, commercial risk assessment, pricing governance, and proposal execution. The position is focused on deal leadership and influencing business growth rather than direct account ownership. The role coordinates multidisciplinary teams and inputs from engineering, product management, supply chain, and service teams; supports strategic pursuits from early engagement through contract award; and helps transition awarded work from the commercial phase to project execution. It also develops commercial bidding practices, tools, templates, and performance metrics, and drives continuous improvement in proposal quality and win rates.
