About The Position

The Senior Commercial HVAC Technician maintains, diagnoses, and repairs commercial climate-control and refrigeration systems. The role includes working with chillers, boilers, VRF systems, VAV boxes, split systems, cooling towers, AHUs and MHUs, BAS controls, and other commercial equipment. The technician may lead teams through installations of varying sizes and complexity, follow safety protocols, document service and installation work, manage truck stock, and maintain client relationships. The role also uses mobile technology and a work order management system for communication and reporting, and requires staying current with HVAC industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of HVAC experience.
• At least 3 years of chiller experience.
• At least 3 years of boiler experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair climate-control chillers, boilers, and commercial refrigeration systems.
• Work on VRF systems, VAV boxes, split systems, cooling towers, AHUs and MHUs, BAS controls, and other commercial systems.
• Lead a team through commercial HVAC installations of varying sizes and complexity.
• Safely use equipment in accordance with appropriate protocols and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of service visits, maintenance tasks, and equipment installations.
• Maintain truck stock and inventory within company guidelines.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Participate in client meetings when required.
• Use mobile technology for efficient communication and real-time reporting.
• Actively interface with a work order management system.
• Stay current on HVAC industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
