About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Collections Representative within Commercial Banking Operations. This role involves supporting, reviewing, and negotiating a medium to high-risk portfolio of complex delinquent loans with high-level collateralized accounts requiring special handling and research. The representative will research credit and account information, handle workout and restructuring of problem loans and payment plans, and review account equity to determine loss projections. They will also monitor the portfolio for policy compliance and adherence to risk ratings, assist in training entry-level staff, and conduct issue-specific training in conjunction with management. This position requires a high degree of knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures, leading by example, handling core assignments effectively, and taking on additional responsibilities. Collaboration with peers, colleagues, and managers is essential for resolving issues and achieving goals. The role involves interacting with internal customers, receiving direction from leaders, and exercising independent judgment while developing knowledge of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Commercial Collections support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Military experience researching and assessing questions, process, and procedures to make recommendations on solutions
  • Military experience with tracking information in multiple computer systems with high level of accuracy
  • Military experience resolving complex issues via written or verbal communication, including but not limited to, supply action requests, updating personnel records, answering benefit or pay questions, resolving errors, researching questions and other needs as requested by customers
  • US Military Service in US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Space Force
  • 2+ years of collections experience
  • Leadership experience includes coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Strong telephone communication skills with the ability to influence positive customer outcomes
  • Experience working in roles within accounting, accounts receivable/payable
  • Customer service/customer care experience
  • Experience working with the following systems: Artiva and Infolease
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to embrace and adapt to change
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to provide strong customer service while actively listening and responding in an appropriate manner
  • Sound analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Responsibilities
