Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Four years of commercial appraising experience.
Possess a Missouri State General Appraisal Certification and be qualified as a supervisor for trainees for appraisal licenses.
Must possess/maintain valid Missouri Driver's License.
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Assisting the supervisor in training employees and in reviewing property owners and Assessment department appraisals for content and accuracy.
Appraising a wide variety of commercial properties ranging from small to large facilities, major commercial retail centers and large office complexes, using all or a combination of the three approaches to value (Sales, Cost, and Income Comparisons) in estimating market value.
Assisting the Supervisor and Senior Appraiser in the appraisal of the County’s largest and most complex properties by independently gathering a variety of economic data from realty firms, financial institutions and other organizations and individuals as necessary for use by the supervisor.
