About The Position

The Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Technical Consultant advises client IT and business leaders, translating business goals into cloud and infrastructure roadmaps. The role leads client discovery workshops, current-state assessments, and gap analyses, then develops scoped and prioritized recommendations. It partners with sales and presales on solution design, effort estimates, and statements of work, presents proposals to client executives, and identifies follow-on opportunities across ProArch’s managed services, security, and data practices. The consultant designs secure, scalable Azure landing zones, identity, networking, and governance aligned with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework. The role plans and leads migrations and modernizations to Azure, drives Azure consumption and Microsoft licensing cost-optimization reviews, and architects and troubleshoots Windows Server and Windows client environments. It also defines endpoint management and patching strategies using Intune and related Microsoft tools, and establishes resilience, backup, and disaster recovery standards. Responsibilities span producing architecture documents, runbooks, and executive-ready summaries; traveling to client sites for discovery and delivery as engagements require; guiding engineers through implementation; and ensuring a clean transition to managed services and SOC teams. The consultant mentors engineers and contributes reusable patterns to the Consulting practice. Success in the first year includes independently leading client assessments and architecture engagements within 90 days, delivering on scope and budget with strong client satisfaction, converting findings into follow-on work, and contributing reusable assessment templates and reference architectures.
