About The Position

The Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Technical Consultant advises client IT and business leaders, translating business goals into cloud and infrastructure roadmaps. The role leads client discovery workshops, current-state assessments, and gap analyses, turning findings into scoped and prioritized recommendations. It partners with sales and presales on solution design, effort estimates, statements of work, and executive presentations, while identifying follow-on opportunities across ProArch’s managed services, security, and data practices. The consultant designs secure, scalable Azure landing zones, identity, networking, and governance aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework. The role plans and leads migrations and modernizations from on-premises and hybrid environments to Azure, and drives cost optimization and FinOps reviews covering Azure consumption and Microsoft licensing. It also architects and troubleshoots Windows Server and Windows client environments, defines endpoint management and patching strategy, and sets standards for resilience, backup, and disaster recovery. Responsibilities include producing architecture documents, runbooks, and executive-ready summaries; traveling for on-site delivery as engagements require; guiding engineers through implementation; and ensuring a clean transition to managed services and SOC teams. The consultant mentors engineers and contributes reusable patterns to the Consulting practice. Success in the first year means independently leading client assessments and architecture engagements within 90 days, delivering engagements on scope and budget with strong client satisfaction, converting assessment findings into follow-on projects or managed services, and contributing reusable assessment templates and reference architectures. ProArch offers opportunities to work with client leadership on Microsoft cloud and security programs, collaborate with teams across the US, UK, and India, pursue a growth path toward principal architect or practice leadership, and access certification support and Microsoft and AWS partner programs.
