About The Position

Parsons is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer / Software Developer to support the United States Cyber Command (USCC) and its AI Enterprise capability. The team is building a central hub that helps mission teams move AI solutions from prototypes to secure, governed, enterprise-scale services. The role involves developing production-grade Python code and APIs that run in AWS and Microsoft Azure and power enterprise AI services, with a significant impact on the USCC mission. The position provides embedded operations support, capability integration, and rapid prototyping for AI-enabled tools. The engineer will develop and maintain cloud applications, APIs, microservices, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating with AI/ML engineers and data scientists. The role also supports production reliability, performance, security, documentation, and security accreditation activities (RMF/ATO). An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and 10 years of experience, or a master’s degree in a relevant technical field and 8 years of experience.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Advanced proficiency in Python for production-grade application development.
Demonstrated expertise in API development and integration.
Proven experience architecting and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Extensive experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure for software development and infrastructure management.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable engineering solutions, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exposure to AI and machine-learning concepts and their implications for software development.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
AWS or Microsoft Azure certification.
A continuous-learning mindset to stay current with cloud engineering and AI advancements.

Responsibilities

Provide embedded operations support, capability integration, and rapid prototyping for AI-enabled tools supporting the customer.
Design, develop, and integrate enterprise-grade, production Python code and applications in AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
Develop robust and scalable APIs and microservices for the AI Enterprise platform’s model gateway, tool broker, and knowledge services.
Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of AI applications and services.
Implement and maintain secure, efficient, and scalable cloud infrastructure for AI solutions.
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to streamline development and integrate AI capabilities.
Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of production AI applications.
Research and implement cloud engineering tools and practices to enhance efficiency and capabilities.
Document architecture, processes, and configurations, and support production system security accreditation (RMF/ATO).
