What is the opportunity? In this role you will perform front-line client services, including answering questions from custodian banks, brokers, investors and/or customers. What will you do? Maintains client files, performing data entry and account processing duties (e.g. verifying accuracy of transactions) Performs other clerical duties as necessary, such as preparing reports requiring specialized procedures, answering phone calls, bookkeeping, completing routine forms and maintaining records and filing, etc. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain product information, and address complaints Compile, copy, sort, and file records of business transactions and other activities Compute, record and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems What do you need to succeed? Must haves: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance, plus 4 years customer service experience Experience in financial services industry Experience in data entry Experience dealing with clients by phone, resolving issues and explaining services Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs. Attention to detail and critical thinking Ability to work independently and manage one’s time Ability to keep information organized and confidential Nice-to-have: Advanced user proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, spreadsheet/financial accounting skills, and any other related accounting software is an asset Knowledge of financial systems and associated procedures is an asset What’s in it for you?
