About The Position

As a Senior Claims Analyst supporting Voya Leave Management (VLM), you will guide claimants through the integrated leave process with empathy and clarity. You will manage high-complexity claims, primarily involving Short Term Disability, Family Medical Leave (FMLA), and other paid leaves. You will also mentor and support claims analysts and specialists, oversee contract and language discrepancies, and proactively provide solutions. The role requires maintaining a high standard of service while complying with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in FMLA or unpaid leave claims management.
• 2–3 years of experience in Short Term Disability or paid leave claims management.
• Strong decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook.
• Strong written and oral communication capabilities.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims and determine payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Make claim decisions on non-complex disability claims.
• Mentor and support claims analysts and specialists.
• Lead claim roundtables and document action plans.
• Communicate clearly and professionally by phone and email.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in team-based problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage assigned work queues within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee contract and language discrepancies and proactively provide solutions.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
