About The Position

Giffels Webster is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer for its Macomb County office in Washington Township. The position supports local communities in southeast Michigan through civil engineering projects intended to improve residents’ quality of life. The engineer works independently on projects for municipal clients and assists architects, developers, property owners, real estate professionals, and community residents. Work is performed in a team environment led by a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.

The role includes civil site and infrastructure design, preparation of permit applications and cost estimates, participation in meetings, field visits, and construction administration. In-person collaboration and mentoring are important to the position. With experience and supervisor approval, the employee may be eligible to work a hybrid schedule of up to two remote days and three office days per week.

Requirements

• Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent applicable experience.
• At least 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD software.

Nice To Haves

• Michigan PE licensure or seeking to obtain it.
• Experience with Civil3D.
• Experience with green infrastructure design and stormwater modeling in SWMM.
