Senior Civil CAD Designer
About The Position
As a Senior Civil Designer at Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC), you will work with project managers to produce civil site, water resources, stream restoration, and solid waste construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Documents include site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, and storm and sewer profiles. You will also assist with stream restoration design, including plans, profiles, and channel cross-sections, calculate quantities, and develop stormwater pollution prevention plans. The role includes calculating quantities for construction estimates, determining earthwork volumes based on existing and proposed topography, identifying and preparing construction control systems on plans, and offering value-oriented design suggestions. You will review drawings and documents to ensure they comply with company design and production standards. Requirements
- 12+ years' experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience working with construction drawings.
- Ability to speak and write professionally.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Microstation/ORD.
Responsibilities

- Assist in stream restoration design, including plans, profiles, and channel cross-sections.
- Calculate quantities for construction estimates.
- Determine earthwork volumes (cuts and fills) based on existing and proposed topography.
- Identify and prepare construction control systems on plans, including baselines, stationing, and control points.
- Develop stormwater pollution prevention plans.
- Provide value-oriented design suggestions.
- Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards.
