AECOM is seeking a Civil/Structural CAD Designer to support its Energy team and projects in power generation, including traditional steam, thermal power, and advanced nuclear technologies. The role may be performed remotely and/or from a variety of AECOM Energy offices in the United States; the listed work location model is hybrid. The designer will support heavy industrial clients and work with engineers and project teams to develop civil and structural designs and construction-package drawings. The position requires initiative, effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, including with remote team members. The designer develops civil and structural deliverables and digital project content, considering constructability, safety, and cost. Assignments include creating site plans and structural drawings, working with project data from multiple sources, coordinating discipline and vendor interfaces, supporting project specifications and contract documents, and reviewing peer work. The role also involves project and client meetings and occasional travel to client or project sites. AECOM describes its Energy practice as providing consulting, engineering design, energy procurement, and EPC services for power, energy efficiency, and renewable energy clients. AECOM offers comprehensive benefits that may vary according to employment status. US employment authorization sponsorship and relocation are not available for this position. Newly hired employees must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
