About The Position

The Senior Business Unit CI Sustainability Leader accelerates continuous improvement (CI) maturity and enterprise performance by coaching Tier 2–4 leaders across complex functions and business lines. The role operates strategically, enabling leaders to deploy CI capabilities to shape business outcomes. It guides and evolves CI systems, leads cross-functional Management System Assessments (MSAs), and contributes to enterprise methodology through the Center of Excellence (COE). The leader coaches multiple CVPs, VPs, and SVPs, builds CI maturity across functions, and designs and delivers CI training and advanced leadership refreshers. As a lead assessor for MSAs across departments or business units, the role translates findings into strategic priorities and oversees execution of 100-day plans. It tailors and scales CI systems to meet the evolving needs of multiple teams. The position leads value creation initiatives targeting 3–5% year-over-year gains at multi-team or business-unit scale, and supports leaders in connecting improvement efforts to financial outcomes and balanced scorecards. It applies and coaches advanced CI tools and systems, including Kaizen events, Hoshin Kanri, and CI loop design; collaborates with the COE to evolve enterprise tool standards; and embeds CI in strategy deployment, planning, and performance review cadences. The role also leads cross-functional CI forums and Communities of Practice and formally mentors junior Sustainability Leaders and Change Agents.
