About The Position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a systems solution expert supporting Direct Procurement and Master Data Governance processes and related business systems. The role analyzes business needs, identifies and documents requirements, translates them into functional and technical design specifications, configures SAP solutions, and supports testing and implementation. The analyst works with business, IT, development, onsite, offshore, and data warehousing teams to deliver and maintain high-quality system solutions. The position also serves as the primary contact for Production Planning, Shop Floor Execution, and Plant Maintenance functionality within the Service area of SAP S/4HANA, and supports integrations between SAP S/4HANA MM and MDG and related modules.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of hands-on SAP Material Management (SAP MM) configuration experience.
Data analytical skills and understanding of end-to-end Procurement and Master Data Governance processes.
Strong proficiency in business process analysis in Procurement and master data management.
Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to demonstrate data modeling.
Knowledge of SAP MM and SAP MDG integration with Supplier Collaboration, SAP Logistics, and Production Planning applications.
Experience working with business end users to gather requirements and create detailed functional design specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including translating business needs into functional solutions.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across cross-functional teams, vendors, and business partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Strong functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MM and MDG modules.
SAP MM and SAP MDG certifications.

Responsibilities

Analyze Direct Procurement and Master Data Governance processes, conduct fit-gap analysis, recommend standard SAP solutions, and identify gaps.
Support Direct Procurement and Master Data Governance processes and their associated business systems functions.
Identify gaps between current and future business processes and help prioritize process improvement opportunities.
Gather process information in business user meetings and propose sound system solutions.
Configure SAP MM, MDG, and SAP S/4HANA to meet business requirements.
Create functional specifications and collaborate with cross-functional and development teams to deliver technical objects.
Review and contribute to design documents, configuration documents, and functional specifications.
Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing, and support end-user UAT testing.
Work with IT and business teams to optimize and streamline business processes and technical solutions.
Provide input to development teams during development to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Support business reporting requirements and work with the data warehousing team to deliver management reports.
Support, assist, and train users on new or modified system configurations and their business-process impacts.
Maintain IT business system integrity and application notes, system upgrades, changes, and user updates.
Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams, managers, and executives to support high-quality releases.
Follow the company change management process and analyze the impact of changes to the corporate application landscape.
Serve as the primary contact for Production Planning, Shop Floor Execution, and Plant Maintenance functionality within the Service area of SAP S/4HANA.
Monitor and support integrations between SAP S/4HANA MM and MDG and related modules, including PP, SD, FI/CO, QM, and PM.
Stay current with SAP best practices in Materials Management and Master Data Governance.
