About The Position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst, NetSuite provides senior, hands-on functional and technical leadership for NetSuite and its connected financial systems. The role partners with Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, Business Applications, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and external vendors to translate business outcomes into scalable processes, trusted data, compliant controls, and reliable solutions across Invoice-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report. This position is central to protecting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close continuity while reducing dependency on external support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of business systems analysis, ERP, financial systems, or related experience, including significant hands-on NetSuite responsibility in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Required expert-level functional knowledge of the full accounting lifecycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Banking and Payments, Tax, Expense Management, Intercompany Accounting, Multi-Entity Consolidation, Foreign Currency, Revenue Accounting, Financial Reporting, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close.
  • Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of NetSuite’s core and advanced financial features and functionality, including chart of accounts and accounting periods; transaction processing and general ledger impact; journal entries; roles, permissions, and segregation of duties; workflows and approvals; saved searches; reports and dashboards; SuiteAnalytics; custom records and forms; audit trails; reconciliations; allocations; Multi-Book Accounting; SuiteTax; electronic payments; fixed asset management; consolidation; and close management.
  • Experience defining integrations and data flows using REST or SOAP APIs, web services, middleware or iPaaS platforms, file-based interfaces, and event-driven patterns.
  • Experience leading requirements, functional design, testing, UAT, release readiness, and production support across the full solution lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of SOX controls, IT general controls, segregation of duties, audit evidence, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, written communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate calmly during close-cycle incidents, prioritize competing demands, and communicate business impact and recovery actions clearly.

  • Experience with SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteCloud Development Framework, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics Connect, SuiteQL, Advanced PDF, and NetSuite2.com data sources.
  • Experience with subscription, billing, revenue recognition, tax, banking, consolidation, intercompany, foreign exchange, and multi-subsidiary operations.
  • Experience with connected platforms such as Salesforce, Zuora, procurement tools, banking integrations, Solution 7, or financial planning and reporting solutions.
  • Required working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606, including performance obligations, transaction price and allocation, revenue arrangements and plans, deferred and unbilled revenue, revenue recognition and reclassification, contract modifications, forecasting, reporting, controls, and audit support; demonstrated ability to apply these requirements through NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management.
  • Experience using AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation in Finance with defined controls, governance, monitoring, and value measurement.
  • Experience in a global, publicly traded, SaaS, or technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting leaders to define outcomes, clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, prioritize demand, and connect local decisions to upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Lead discovery, current- and future-state mapping, requirements definition, functional design, and solution options across Invoice-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report.
  • Configure and optimize roles, permissions, workflows, custom records, saved searches, reports, dashboards, forms, approvals, SuiteAnalytics, and related capabilities using maintainable design standards.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications; partner with developers and administrators on SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, SuiteCloud Development Framework, APIs, integrations, and data migrations.
  • Provide active support during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close; monitor critical jobs and integrations; diagnose transaction, foreign exchange, reconciliation, reporting, and performance issues; and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Own functional design and validation of data flows between NetSuite and connected CRM, billing, banking, procurement, tax, payroll, reporting, and planning platforms.
  • Embed segregation of duties, access controls, change controls, audit trails, reconciliations, and evidence requirements into solution design and delivery.
  • Produce high-quality business requirements, functional designs, process maps, data mappings, acceptance criteria, test plans, UAT scripts, release documentation, operating procedures, and support knowledge.
  • Assess NetSuite releases and vendor changes, coordinate regression testing and readiness, manage stakeholder communications, and support adoption.
  • Lead Tier 2–3 analysis for complex production issues, identify root causes, implement durable fixes, document known errors, and reduce repeat incidents.
  • Identify, evaluate, and deliver governed opportunities such as transaction matching, cash application, order intake, revenue-document review, accrual estimation, anomaly detection, and continuous control monitoring.
  • Direct technical engagement with NetSuite, ACS, integration partners, and other vendors; maintain internal ownership of requirements, decisions, knowledge, and outcomes.
  • Coach BSAs and delivery partners, strengthen analysis practices, and promote reusable patterns, documentation, and architecture standards.
