About The Position

As an integral member of the Quality, Safety & Clinical Adoption (QSCA) team, the Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for bridging clinical, quality, and business needs with digital system capabilities, with a primary focus on the patient safety incident reporting system (IRIS/RL6). The Analyst leads system configuration, optimization, and reporting, and supports data-driven decision-making through analysis and reporting of quality and safety data. The role ensures effective system performance, supports clinical adoption, and contributes to continuous improvement of safety and quality processes across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, system configuration, and/or application support, ideally in healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety, quality improvement, and incident reporting systems (e.g., RL6)
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development to support decision-making
  • Proficiency in system testing, release management, and change control processes
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills, including training and presentation capabilities
  • Technical knowledge of databases, SQL, integrations (e.g., HL7), and system architecture, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Leads end-to-end change management for IRIS (RL6) and related clinical and business systems, including design, build, testing, and implementation
  • Functions as the IRIS system administrator and subject matter expert, configuring workflows, forms, taxonomies, and user access
  • Gathers and translates clinical, quality, and operational requirements into system solutions, configurations, and reporting outputs
  • Oversees system quality through testing (e.g., regression, UAT), defect management, and release management processes
  • Analyzes and reports on safety and quality data, developing dashboards, metrics, and data visualizations to inform decision-making
  • Ensures data integrity through audits, data quality reviews, and standardization of reporting definitions and outputs
  • Provides troubleshooting, incident management, and ongoing system support, including collaboration with Digital teams and vendors
  • Leads training, user support, and clinical adoption efforts, including development of training materials and promoting effective system use
