About The Position

At DoneDeal Cars, we are Ireland's number one car marketplace, with over 90% of Irish dealerships advertising on our platform. Dealers in our 2025 Dealer Survey voted us the number one place to sell cars — for leads, ease of use, ad-boosting tools, and customer service. We are looking for an experienced Field Sales professional to provide maternity cover for one of our established Field Sales Managers. This is the kind of role that suits someone with strong commercial experience who wants to step into a high-quality book of accounts, deliver in a defined window, and make a real impact at a market-leading company. It is also a chance to demonstrate yourself in a business that is growing — with the potential for permanent opportunities to emerge as the team expands. You will inherit a portfolio of approximately 120 dealer accounts in an established Field Sales territory. Handover will include in-person introductions to top accounts, structured Account Reviews completed jointly with the existing Field Sales Manager before her leave begins, and full briefing on ongoing campaigns, commitments, and live opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally with field-based account management exposure.
  • Track record of managing dealer or customer portfolios with a structured cadence of meetings, reviews and pipeline activity.
  • Comfortable being dropped into an existing book — able to build trust with established customers quickly and credibly.
  • Full clean Irish driving licence required.
  • Two to three days per week visiting dealers across the patch is standard.
  • Data-confident. Comfortable using performance data, ROI numbers and benchmarking to drive commercial conversations.
  • Self-organised. Comfortable with CRM (Salesforce experience an advantage) and able to keep a clean pipeline without being chased.
  • Resilient and credible. Able to handle price objections and competitive pressure with confidence.
  • Available immediately or with short notice. We need someone in seat in time to complete handover before the maternity leave begins.

  • Automotive or digital media background is a strong advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Hold the Patch: Take ownership of approximately 120 dealer accounts during the maternity leave period.
  • Maintain the established Account Review cadence.
  • Manage handover from the returning manager at end of contract — clean notes, clear status, no surprises.
  • Deliver Commercial Performance: Deliver against monthly and quarterly revenue targets through package upgrades, feature adoption, and the September/October upsell cycle.
  • Communicate Value: Translate platform performance data — leads delivered, conversion, ROI — into commercial conversations dealers can act on.
  • Make our value visible in every meeting through performance data, peer benchmarking and feature adoption insights.
  • Anchor every Account Review in evidence, not relationship alone.
