About The Position

The Senior Business Analyst supports intake, assessment, requirements development, planning, and delivery coordination for Field IT projects across resort locations. The position works closely with Field IT, resort operations, Platform Services, business stakeholders, vendors, and project managers. The portfolio includes capital and lifecycle work such as device refreshes and technology upgrades, as well as resort and on-mountain projects involving structured cabling, network and Wi-Fi coverage, cellular connectivity, endpoint and device management, and related infrastructure. The successful candidate is curious, organized, resourceful, and able to move work forward independently while adapting plans to the operating realities of a resort environment.

  • Five or more years of experience in business analysis, technology project coordination, IT operations, or a related role.

  • Strong written communication, facilitation, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and details while recognizing schedule, scope, cost, operational, and dependency risks.
  • Ability to work independently, investigate unfamiliar topics, identify next steps, and bring forward clear recommendations without close direction.
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting distributed IT environments, resort technology, hospitality, retail, or geographically dispersed operations.

  • Exposure to structured cabling, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, cellular coverage, endpoint management, device deployment, network infrastructure, or field technology.
  • Experience coordinating site assessments, vendor estimates, procurement, deployment readiness, cutovers, or operational handoffs.
  • Experience supporting projects with seasonal schedules, limited site access, construction dependencies, or business-critical operating windows.
  • A business analysis, project management, Agile, or IT service management certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage business analysis activities for Field IT project requests, from initial intake through assessment and delivery handoff.
  • Clarify project problems, desired outcomes, affected locations and users, scope, constraints, assumptions, and success measures with requestors and technical leads.

  • Elicit, document, validate, and maintain business, functional, operational, and technical requirements with subject matter experts.
  • Translate requirements into scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and decision points for technical teams and vendors.
  • Coordinate estimates for effort, cost, schedule, equipment, vendor services, and resource needs.
  • Document options, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, risks, and impacts to resort operations.
  • Support development of project plans, work breakdowns, schedules, milestones, RAID logs, stakeholder maps, and governance materials.
  • Maintain traceability from the original request through approved scope, requirements, delivery, and acceptance.
  • Support annual and multi-year capital planning by organizing project proposals, refresh needs, estimates, timing, and decision materials.
  • Help maintain lifecycle and refresh plans for field technology, including endpoints, network equipment, Wi-Fi, cellular coverage, and related infrastructure.
  • Coordinate planning for on-mountain and resort deployments, accounting for site access, construction or cabling needs, weather, seasonal operating windows, guest and employee impacts, and resort readiness.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and status across assigned initiatives; escalate emerging concerns with options and recommended actions.
  • Prepare portfolio updates, leadership presentations, planning materials, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate working sessions, site assessments, stakeholder reviews, and handoffs among resort teams, technical teams, vendors, and project managers.
  • Support change readiness, communications, training coordination, cutover planning, operational handoff, and post-implementation review.
  • Maintain accurate project and portfolio information in designated PMO and work management tools.
  • Build productive working relationships with resort operations, Field IT, infrastructure, networking, security, endpoint, procurement, finance, vendors, and PMO partners.
  • Facilitate discussions to help stakeholders make timely decisions and resolve competing needs.
