Senior Business Analyst Consultant
About The Position
Our Financial Management Transformation professionals help our clients in Defense and National Security optimize all elements of their financial management structure by transforming business processes, enhancing operational efficiency, improving transparency and performance management, promoting change management, and complying with Federal laws and regulations. This project requires self-motivated individuals who are willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project members are provided the opportunity to interact with our client’s senior management, and to enhance their skills in technical competency, business development, client service, and people development. Our team provides specialized experience and knowledge in financial management, process analysis, risk management, and performance measurement to support project activities. Team members will operate in a hybrid environment and are expected to collaborate at client office or Guidehouse office 2-3 days per week.
Requirements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, engineering, business analytics, or a related field
- THREE (3) or more years of experience in business analysis, consulting, financial management, process improvement, product management, project management, or similar. Experience should include, but not be limited to:
- Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills, view problems and apply a variety of solutions, and lead client-facing discussions and meetings
- Supporting client meetings and presenting recommendations to senior-level leadership
- Utilizing project management best practices
- Working in teams to produce high-impact work products
- Documenting and evaluating business processes and making recommendations for process improvements
- Conducting research to investigate client problems and working collaboratively with a team to formulate and recommend solutions
Nice To Haves
- FIVE (5) or more years of experience in business analysis, consulting, financial management, process improvement, product management, project management, or similar.
- Certifications in project management, Agile, Scrum, change management (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe, CCMP) and/or strong understanding of these concepts, or interest in obtaining these certifications
- Experience with change management or organizational design, especially in financial and human resource environments
Responsibilities
- Assess current-state processes and identify pain points
- Develop flow charts and process maps
- Gather and document requirements and user stories
- Collaborate with developers and client stakeholders
- Support testing activities and track results
- Develop SOPs, job aids, and training materials
- Provide routine progress reporting
- Facilitate internal meetings and client-facing discussions
- Support agile ceremonies (e.g., daily standups, retrospectives)
