About The Position

Supports the effective use of data, technology tools, and business applications across the utility asset lifecycle, ensuring accurate information and optimized processes that enhance operational performance and strategic decision making. Develops and analyzes business processes to identify gaps and ensure optimized, scalable workflows across the organization. Leads facilitated requirements and process development sessions with business unit representatives to capture clear, aligned and actionable business needs. Evaluates business requirements throughout the project lifecycle to maintain accuracy, traceability and successful project delivery. Ensures quality and consistency in project deliverables by reviewing and approving business process models, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, and project deliverables to support compliance with established standards. Strategizes with business analysts in developing the approach and process for facilitated requirements and process development sessions. Drafts standardized templates, documentation, and methodologies to improve project delivery. Supports the development and delivery of change management artifacts to ensure a seamless transition for business users to new tools and technology. Advises IT/OT partners on the business impact of system changes to support the implementation of technology solutions that achieve intended business outcomes. Conducts impact analyses of proposed software lifecycle changes and vendor updates to identify risks, anticipate business disruptions, and ensure smooth adoption by business users and processes. Determines areas of data analysis that are necessary to understand business problems or issues. Maintains a thorough understanding of the capabilities within the core business technologies leveraged by the organization and its relation to the business processes. Provides guidance and mentorship to Business Analysts to maintain high standards in reporting and analysis. Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations. Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services. Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 5 years of experience in business or data analysis, including data‑modeling.
  • Experience with asset management and work management enabling technologies, preferably within the utility sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to break down issues and assess risks, benefits, and impacts.
  • Strong initiative with the ability to act proactively and own outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Solid skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, to support analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Knowledge of engineering tools, asset information collection workflows, and the utility network asset lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide others and support effective team collaboration.
  • Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0) is preferred.
  • International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification is preferred.
