Senior Brand Marketing Manager, Social and Community

Splice
•$112,000 - $140,000•Remote

About The Position

Splice is seeking a full-time Senior Social & Community Manager to own the voice of Splice across its organic social channels and Discord community. This highly visible, hands-on role helps shape the company's strategic understanding of creators through publishing, community engagement, and audience insights. The manager will plan and publish content, run programming for music producers, engage directly with the community, and use performance data to improve future content and programming. The role works closely with brand, community, and product teams to create channel-native content that connects Splice news and offerings with what the community wants to see and participate in. As Splice's portfolio grows, the role may expand to include social and community channels for additional brands. The position is remote in the US, with Los Angeles preferred but not required. The successful candidate makes music, understands music production culture, and can turn that knowledge into engaging content and community experiences. Splice describes its culture through DISCO: Direct, Inclusive, Splice Together, Creator Centric, and Optimistic. The company embraces remote work, with colleagues across the US and UK and regular team communications and gatherings.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years managing social channels for a brand, artist, label, or creator-facing company, with examples of work to share.
  • Experience owning a multi-channel organic social presence.
  • Experience communicating directly with a creator audience; music experience is ideal, though adjacent creative categories are considered.
  • Makes music using a DAW and understands production workflows well enough to speak to producers as a peer.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and engage a community, including hands-on experience running a Discord server or comparable community space.
  • Experience planning and running community programming such as contests, challenges, or competitions.
  • Fluency with major social platforms, including formats, editing conventions, and publishing tools for short-form video, long-form video, and text-based channels.
  • Comfort with social and community analytics and ability to translate data into decisions and clear reporting for a business audience.
  • Hands-on experience with and genuine interest in adopting new tools.
  • Strong writing skills and a natural instinct for tone, including the ability to be funny, direct, and human without sounding like a brand account.

Nice To Haves

  • Based in Los Angeles and able to attend shoots, sessions, and creator meet-ups in person.
  • Experience with Blender or other 3D rendering or animation tools, and ability to create original content with them.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera in Splice content.
  • Existing relationships in the producer, artist, or label community.
  • Motion design, photography, or audio editing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the organic social strategy and publishing calendar across Splice channels, from ideation through scheduling, posting, and platform-native optimization; adapt channel choices as platforms and audience behaviors change.
  • Create and edit content from concept to final cut with a fast turnaround and a clear point of view.
  • Engage producers in comments, DMs, and replies as the voice of Splice, surfacing their work and building relationships.
  • Identify and act on cultural moments, trends, and sounds in real time, including reactive posts outside the planned calendar.
  • Partner with brand, product, and community teams to turn launches, artist packs, and platform news into content suited to each channel.
  • Source and amplify community- and creator-generated content, coordinating directly with producers and artists.
  • Manage and grow the Splice Discord server, maintaining active and welcoming conversations.
  • Plan and run recurring community programming, including beat battles, community challenges, and remix competitions, from concept and rules through promotion, judging, and winner recognition.
  • Start and sustain conversations that encourage producers to return, share work, and give one another feedback.
  • Work with moderators and internal teams to maintain a healthy community and relay insights from Discord to the wider business.
  • Track social and community performance and make clear recommendations about what to expand, stop, or test.
  • Use data to guide content, programming, and channel investment, and regularly report channel health, community growth, and engagement to the business.
  • Develop workflows that increase speed and output across ideation, scripting, editing, asset generation, and analysis.
  • As the Splice portfolio grows, take on strategy and management of social and community channels for additional brands.
