About The Position

Software Mind is hiring a Senior Backend Integration Developer (Java) for a gaming-company client working to reform the national gaming system. The client operates under the principle of exclusivity and aims to provide games responsibly, reduce gambling-related risks, protect players, prevent fraud, and contribute to a safe and secure gaming environment. Its games include Lucky Games, Casino Games, and Betting Games. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for an Aggregation Platform that integrates game providers with operators. The developer will build API-first solutions for scalable, high-performance, business-critical systems, and produce secure, maintainable, high-quality code. The role also involves collaborating across functions on integration solutions and platform architecture, contributing to CI/CD and deployment automation, participating in architectural discussions, improving platform reliability, scalability, and performance, and supporting Agile delivery and technical decision-making.

Requirements

At least 6 years of backend software development experience, with a strong focus on API-first solutions.
At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining high-availability, business-critical applications.
Strong experience integrating APIs between services.
Strong proficiency in Java and experience developing clean, secure, high-performance code.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms; Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred.
Experience with DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI), automated deployments, and test automation.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong communication skills and English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
Experience designing scalable software architectures.
Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services for the Aggregation Platform to enable integrations between game providers and operators.
Build and enhance API-first solutions for scalable, high-performance, business-critical systems.
Develop secure, maintainable, high-quality code in line with engineering best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design integration solutions and improve platform architecture.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
Participate in architectural discussions and improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
Support Agile development processes and contribute to technical decision-making across the team.
