Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a Kotlin developer or a Java/JVM developer with experience building Kotlin or JVM-based applications. As part of our cross-functional product team, you will help pioneer new approaches and best practices while building new services from scratch. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning new things, interested in user-centered design and product-driven development, and has experience with message queue systems and event-driven architecture. Productboard is a customer-centric product management platform used by over 5,400 companies, including Microsoft and Zoom. • Build Kotlin microservices to enable Productboard to be a central system of record
• Integrate Kotlin microservices with 3rd-party systems by building specific integrations and general-purpose public APIs
• Work with a cross-functional product team to pioneer new approaches and best practices
• Have professional experience with building Kotlin applications or generally JVM-based applications
• Be familiar with functional and object-oriented programming
• Be passionate about learning new things and embracing challenges
• Have an interest in user-centered design, product-driven development, and similar concepts
• Have experience with message queue systems and event-driven architecture (an advantage)

• Professional experience with building Kotlin applications, or generally JVM-based applications (in case of Java, preferably version 8+)
